Senior Members

Denis Charron

Denis' passion and prowess for the time honoured tradition of angling has made him one the most knowledgeable and respected rod wielders in the country. He continually sets the bar for the biggest catch of the day every time his line hits the water.
His attention to detail and ability to select the perfect lure and spot the exact corner of a riffle or edge of a weed bed to aim his cast is unrivaled. He consistently bests top Anglers across the province on their home waters and is the most decorated member of the R.F.A.

Master Scott Wilson

With a background in environmental economics and sustainability, Scott's contributions and insights have furthered the art of fishing and the cause of the the R.F.A. beyond what we could have accomplished on our own.
As a Senior Member of the Alliance, Scott has established himself as an expert on back country fishing, but he is as precise and productive on the open water as he is in mountain headwaters. A true pioneer in the sport of Angling, Scott has spearheaded developments into ethical means of asphyxiating fish meant for the dinner plate. His vast wealth of knowledge and experience have made him a champion angler and asset to the R.F.A.

James Cocchio

James was initiated into the Alliance in the spring of 2010 and quickly established himself as one of the most integral members of the R.F.A. His rise into seniority is attributed to his knowledge and aptitude for the sport of fishing and to date, he has caught more fish than any of the other Senior Members.

Honourary Members

Scott Middleton

It was a sad day when Scott packed up his truck and headed East. Though no longer an active member, Scott Middleton is the R.F.A's liaison and correspondent in Ontario and is without a doubt the only angler more accomplished and knowledgeable than the R.F.A.'s seniors. To date, he is the only individual who has transcended the ranks of the R.F.A. and been bestowed with the rank of Honourary Member.

Members With Distinction

Marc Ballantyne
Marc joined the R.F.A. in 2012, but his skill set and drive made him a legend within our esteemed Membership. Within a year of joining the Alliance, Marc was presented with the position of President of our New York chapter. As C.E.O. and founder of KÖNIG Enterprises, he is an expert on sustainable land development and provides consulting to the oil and gas industry with a balanced focus on environmental impact and long term growth. As an angler, Marc has gone up against the best in the country and held his own. The fact that he will now be fishing alongside the R.F.A.'s Senior Membership will unquestionably solidify his reputation as a world-class fly fisherman.

Peter Grelli

Peter started his fishing career out of an interest in the outdoors and  the sportsman lifestyle. After participating in a couple of R.F.A. sponsored expeditions, Peter dedicated himself to bettering The Alliance and has contributed his expertise in the area of Graphic Design to many of the alliances marketing and awareness initiatives. Peter was formally initiated into The Alliance in the summer of 2013, and his contributions, along with his skills as an angler have earned him a place in the R.F.A.'s Hall of Fame. Perhaps his greatest achievement as an angler is his perfect record. To date, Peter Grelli has never walked away from a lake, river or ocean without catching at least one fish.

Associates

John

John has long been a supporter of the R.F.A.'s mission. His endorsements have allowed the R.F.A. to expand and to complete projects that would have otherwise been delayed for years. Most recently, he sponsored an R.F.A. initiative in the Gulf of Mexico to survey the health and abundance of predatory Epipelagic zone dwelling fish as well as to do a census on the health of near shore coral reef ecosystems and the effects that invasive species are having on endemic populations.
